A traditional rich spiced form of bread found in several southern counties of England, each claiming to provide the original recipe. It remains a popular weekend tea cake in the southern counties.
Main ingredients include, Traditionally Lard (rendered fat) but we use white vegetable shortening meaning they are vegan!, flour, mixed spice, sugar, currants and sultanas.

2 Day shelf life once received, keep in a cool & dry place.

Contains wheat, gluten & soya. 

Made in a bakery that also makes products containing peanuts, tree nuts, sesame, sulphites and lupin.
